About 7figs

Why we built 7figs

Imagine your future as tending a fig tree. Each branch is a potential future, laden with sweet rewards, and we must pick and choose among the ones we follow.

Each branch is a different life: a career, a home, a version of the years ahead. The hard part was never that the futures aren't there. It's seeing them clearly enough to reach the ones you want before the season turns.

That's the idea behind 7figs. A financial plan is really a map of your branches, the futures your decisions make possible. Our job is to help you see them clearly, weigh them honestly, and choose the ones that are yours.

The oldest thing we do

Figs were among the first plants our ancestors ever cultivated. Long before written history, someone took a cutting, chose a patch of ground they'd judged fertile, and planted it, and years on a tree bore fruit that fed them and sweetened a hard season. That's the oldest version of a thing we still do: take a little of what we have, place it somewhere we believe will grow, and tend it until it can sustain us.

Investing is that same instinct, formalized. Your savings are the seed, and the work starts with finding ground you've actually assessed for fertility rather than planting on faith.

But planting is only the beginning. A fig tree needs tending: pruning, watching the weather, catching trouble early. Your investments are no different. We keep researching what you hold and watching your portfolio as conditions change, so the plan you set in motion stays cared for rather than left to fend for itself.

And when the tree matures, a new question arrives, the one every orchardist knows: which fruit to pick, and in what order, so the harvest lasts.

Why we started 7figs

We started 7figs because we'd each spent years on different sides of the same frustration.

Two of us are financial advisers, professionals who have sat across the table from countless people, building plans through every kind of life change. The rest of us are technologists. And almost all of us, at one point or another, have been dissatisfied with what the industry offers when it comes to advice and planning: too expensive for most people, too shallow when it isn't, and too often built around selling a product rather than understanding the person.

We think planning should start with your life, not a product, and that the tools to model it honestly should be within reach of far more people than they are today. So we built 7figs: a place to lay out your branches, run the numbers on each, and understand the trade-offs, in plain language, on your own terms.

Why an AI-first process

Two beliefs shape how 7figs works.

Not everyone wants to talk to a person about their money. For some, a human adviser adds pressure, or judgment, or just the friction of booking a meeting. 7figs gives you somewhere to think things through privately, at your own pace, with an AI assistant trained for exactly this, a chance to review your own thinking first, and involve someone else only if and when you choose to.

We're honest about what AI is and isn't. Our AI-first process is not better than the very best human financial planners. The best advisers are exceptional, and there's no replacing that. What it offers instead is consistency: the same diligence brought to every question, every time, without an off day or a rushed afternoon. Our aim is a service that lands in the top quartile for customer satisfaction: dependable, thorough, and genuinely useful for everyone.

The same attention, on every portfolio

Most people's finances don't fit a template. A concentrated stock position, unvested RSUs, a rental property, an inherited account, a trust held for the kids. The parts that matter most are often the parts a one-size process handles worst. Many advisers, each carrying hundreds of clients, tend to sort everyone into a handful of model portfolios, because that's what scales for a human team. The idiosyncratic pieces get a glance at the annual review, if that.

7figs is built the other way around. Our system looks at your portfolio on its own terms, your actual holdings and your actual goals, and it does so with the same diligence day after day, not once a year. It doesn't have a busy week, a bigger client down the hall, or an off afternoon. Consistency here isn't a promise we're asking you to take on faith; it's how the system is designed to work.

And when something genuinely calls for human judgment, a real trade-off, a decision that deserves a second set of eyes, that's exactly when a person steps in. The routine watching, the part that's easiest to let slide, is the part we're built never to.

Your future is branching. Come see it clearly.
